A Thank You from Teasel

Well, the FVGSS's Santa Claus The Panto came and went...I was so busy during the run that I barely had time to update this page! Anywho...I will get to that and start posting pics from the show. In the meantime, here is a thank you card "Teasel" made for everyone in the show! All he ever wanted was to have friends...ehhhhh maybe not Facebook Friends...those aren't real friends :)

The Illusion Of Life...

I've started reading this sucker and so far, its been very interesting :)
Back when I was a Digital Animation student at BCIT, I read "The Animator's Survival Guide", which I found to be very technical in its explanation of animation and was helpful when I had to draw walk cycles and "squash & stretch" animation exercises. "The Illusion Of Life" however, tackles more of the intellectual and emotional side of animating, which I find to be super helpful. As an actor, I can really relate to what Walt Disney was thinking in his approach to animating. He found ways to make the cartoons more "real" rather than "noodley". Walt himself was quite the comedian so I've read, acting out all of his ideas. This sounds a lot like the stuff I love doing....

teasel ideas

Just playing with some ideas for my stage character called "Teasel" who is...a weasel! (of course). Teasel was always made fun of because one day, a boy with a BB gun shot off his tail, now he is left with a silly little stump. All Teasel wants is a  friend :( Poor guy!

throwback...Wednesday?

...doesn't sound as good as throwback thursday but nevertheless, I found this guy in my archives! This is Mecha Owl... and he's made of metal. Mecha Owl eats mimetic polyalloy, just like the T-1000, but he's not nearly as scary as that guy! :)

This is Jayson, the creature catching extraordinaire!

..continuing with my voice over characters, meet Jayson! Jayson's creation stems from Ash Ketchum (of Pokemon fame).  He is 10 years old, super energetic, adventurous and wants to one day teach the fine art of "Catching".... Creature Catching to be exact! So next time you find yourself in Citron City, make sure this guy is near by incase you happen to be attacked by one of those super cute but very pesky SNOOGLYDOODLES!
